During the funniest, scariest and most trying times someone is usually there, with a camcorder documenting the moments large and small that make us human. Here are some of the craziest moments in history caught on film.

10. Reporter Hates Anchor

What happens in this video can only be described as pure television magic. This whole segment falls apart on live TV after the reporter interviews a disgruntled apartment complex tenant. Well, the anchor doesn’t like the report, so he starts bickering at the reporter to ask a few more questions. Next thing you know, the interviewees stand idly by while these guys work out some deep seeded issues for all Good Day NY viewers to see. Think Grumpy Old Men.

9. Tom Cruise Issues Verbal Smackdown On Matt Lauer

Matt Lauer had to learn the hard way that there’s a tongue lashing for anyone who wants to argue medical science with Tom Cruise. When the Today Show host had the audacity to question Cruise on his stance that psychiatry is a bunch of hocus-pokus, the Mission Impossible star resurrects the word “glib” and hurls it in Matt’s direction. But what really puts this video on the list are those truly creepy moments where Tom just bursts into maniacal laughter for no discernible reason.

8. Indonesian Baby Smokes 40 Cigs A Day

In this video you can watch as a toddler in Sumatra smokes so much you might get the impression he doesn’t fully comprehend the potential health implications.  The person working the camcorder zooms in as the tot twirls a cig in his fingers and lets loose with what appears to be an attempt at blowing smoke rings. He’s had plenty of practice. This kid’s dad says he’s been smoking since he was just 18 months old.

7. Streaking Man Slams Into Glass Wall

6. Korean Parliament Brawl

Most of us can only dream of seeing a brawl like this break out in Congress. In Korea however, coming to blows over some touchy legislation is just another day in the office. These politicians don’t pull punches, but do pull hair by the fistful. The chaos that descends on this meeting of leaders can only make us thankful someone had a camcorder.

5. Tiananmen Square Protests

This video became a symbol of political oppression and the strength of thousands of regular citizens who were not afraid to confront injustice head-on. This epic brawl went down in 2004 in what would prove to be the most shocking and infamous moment in NBA history. It starts as a little shoving match between Ben Wallace and Ron Artest, but things calm down and Artest returns to the bench. Artest was lying on his back, taking a breather when a fan hurled his beer at Artest, who responded by hurling himself into the stands to deliver a swift pummeling of the drunk brew-tosser. When another fan rushed the court he was promptly slugged and leveled by Jermaine O’Neal, a Pacers player who got a running start before connecting with the spectator’s face. Artest ended up being suspended for the rest of the season.

The 1936 Olympics were hosted in Hitler’s Germany. Hitler was so furious over Owens stellar performance he took off pouting and didn’t even offer the customary congratulations.

2. The Moon Landing

In 1969 the first humans walked on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission. To this day, it is considered one of the crowning achievements in space flight. This was a huge political victory for the United States, which was determined to finally one-up the Russian space program.
